Yuri Trutnev met with investors from Kamchatka Region

Deputy Prime Minister of the Russian Federation – Plenipotentiary Representative of the President of the Russian Federation in the Far Eastern Federal District Yuri Trutnev held a meeting on the implementation of investment projects in Kamchatka Region. ""At today's meeting, we will discuss the situation in attracting investments in Kamchatka. More than 250 investors with projects worth almost 300 billion rubles have taken advantage of state support in Kamchatka, 106 billion rubles have already been invested. 79 projects have been commissioned, more than 11 thousand new jobs have been created. The largest project is the “Three Volcanoes Park”, a new airport is being built, new tourist complexes are being created at the “Zelenovskie Ozerki” tourist complex,” Yuri Trutnev opened the meeting. According to Vladimir Solodov, Governor of Kamchatka Region, investments in Kamchatka Region amounted to 128.2 billion rubles in 2023. Investment growth was 60% compared to the previous year. Tourism is a priority industry. Last year, investment growth in this area was 53%. In 2023 alone, 17 new hotels were built, and the number of accommodations increased by 1,031 places. The construction of the new passenger terminal of the Petropavlovsk-Kamchatsky International Airport (Elizovo) is planned to be completed by the end of the year. The total area of ​​the building of the new passenger terminal for domestic and international flights will be more than 50 thousand square meters. A hotel and retail space will be built inside. The new passenger terminal is equipped with five telescopic bridges with the possibility of increasing to eight in the future. The capacity of the new terminal will be 1,145 passengers per hour. JSC Far East and Arctic Development Corporation is installing external engineering infrastructure and building an access road to the construction site of the new airport complex.
