The fifth “Bering Strait” festival will be held in Chukotka

From July 18th to 19th, Chukotka will host the International Festival "Bering Strait 2026," bringing together a dozen business, sporting, cultural, and tourism events. The main venues will be in Anadyr and the village of Ugolnye Kopi, and will continue with the traditional "Beringia" leather kayak regatta in the village of Lorino on July 25th and 26th.

The business program focuses on the development of adventure tourism in the Arctic and the prospects for a transcontinental route through the Bering Strait. This route, previously traversed by only a few travelers, is generating considerable interest among the sports and tourism community worldwide. According to the event organizers, both those who have already completed the crossings and those considering such a trip are invited to discuss the resumption of expeditions in the Bering Strait.
