More than 73 thousand compatriots have moved to the Far East over the 20 years of the State Program

Grigory Smolyak, Director of the Department of Social Development at the Ministry for the Development of the Russian Far East, noted that the State Program remains a key tool for attracting population to the regions of the Far East and contributes to their long-term development. "The state program helps attract people to the Far East who see their future in the region and are ready to live, work, and start families here. All regions of the Far Eastern Federal District are priority settlement areas and offer program participants an expanded range of support measures, including increased relocation benefits. Housing subsidies remain one of the most in demand measures. By the end of 2025, 679 families were eligible for them—a total of 1,986 people, including family members. The total amount of payments amounted to 1.93 billion rubles. In 2026, over the first five months, 304 state housing certificates were issued, totaling 900 million rubles, to 939 compatriots who resettled in the Far East under the State Program. "This support helps people quickly adapt and establish themselves in their region of resettlement," emphasized Grigory Smolyak.
