Yuri Trutnev visited projects on the production of UAVs and hydrogen technologies

As part of a working trip to the Sakhalin region, Deputy Prime Minister - Plenipotentiary Representative of the President of the Russian Federation in the Far Eastern Federal District Yuri Trutnev visited in Yuzhno-Sakhalinsk the research and production center for unmanned aerial systems "Wings of Sakhalin" and the center for hydrogen technologies, which were created on the basis of the Institute of the Academy of Sciences. The “Wings of Sakhalin” Research and Production Center was created on the basis of the Special Design Bureau for Automation of Marine Research of the Far Eastern Branch of the Russian Academy of Sciences (SDB AMR). The center produces educational unmanned aerial vehicles, as well as special-purpose UAVs. Yuri Trutnev also inspected the hydrogen test site, also created on the basis of SDB AMR. This is a platform for testing the production of hydrogen by electrolysis. If the experiment is successful, in a few years, a hydrogen production plant will be launched and clean fuel will be exported to countries in the Asia-Pacific region. At the test site, they are preparing to launch the first generation of hydrogen and test the refueling complex. Hydrogen fuel offers great prospects for use in various spheres of life - in small and large-scale energy, transport, housing and communal services, and the communications industry.
