The “Russky” Innovation Scientific and Technological Center (ISTC) and the Far Eastern Branch of the Russian Academy of Sciences (FEB RAS) discussed areas of scientific and technological cooperation

A working meeting with the leadership of the Far Eastern Branch of the Russian Academy of Sciences was held at the “Russky” ISTC's Pilot Site. A FEB RAS delegation, led by Yuri Kulchin, Chairman of the Far Eastern Branch, was introduced to the center's infrastructure, resident projects, and prospects for developing the scientific and technological ecosystem on “Russky” Island.

Elena Kharisova, CEO of the “Russky” ISTC Development Fund, briefed the guests on the current stage of the project and outlined plans to create the “IT Park”, “Biotechnology”, “Biomedicine”, and “Marine Engineering” research and education clusters, as well as the “Pacific School” educational center. Particular attention was paid to the opportunities the center provides for research teams to implement applied projects and bring their developments to market. "It's important for us that our interaction with academic science is built around specific technological challenges and promising design. The “Russky” ISTC is being created as a platform where research teams, universities, and high-tech businesses can work within a unified ecosystem: from conducting research to creating new products and manufacturing. This format of collaboration will accelerate the implementation of scientific results in the region's economy," emphasized Elena Kharisova.
