Among the key projects of the master plan for the capital of Buryatia are the construction of the world-class interuniversity campus “Baikal”, the integrated development of urban areas (“Aircraft Plant”, “Battery”, “White Swan”, city center) and the construction of the “Far Eastern Quarter”, improvement of the embankment along the Selenga and Uda rivers, the construction of the National Museum of East Asia, the Center for Oriental Medicine and the Center for Creative Industries. In general, as part of the implementation of the Ulan-Ude master plan, 44 activities are envisaged with a total cost of more than 277 billion rubles. One of the key projects of the Ulan-Ude master plan is the construction of the Baikal Theater. The project, worth about 3 billion rubles, received approval from the President of Russia in March 2023. Construction work is currently underway at the site. Construction of the facility is planned to be completed in the first quarter of 2026.
