Participants of the Trans-Baikal Foreign Economic Forum “New Horizons – 2024” were told about government support measures for business

The Far East and Arctic Development Corporation (FEDC) took part in the business program of the Trans-Baikal Foreign Economic Forum “New Horizons - 2024” - visiting event of the Eastern Economic Forum. The forum takes place in Chita and the Aginsky Buryat district. Forum participants, including guests from China, Mongolia and other countries, received detailed information about what preferences investors can receive when implementing projects in the Far Eastern and Arctic regions with the support of the Russian Ministry of Eastern Development and the Far East and Arctic Development Corporation (FEDC). Deputy Chairman of the Government of the Russian Federation - Plenipotentiary Representative of the President of the Russian Federation in the Far Eastern Federal District Yuri Trutnev supervises the work of these institutions. Andrey Sharafutdinov, managing director of the investment department of the FEDC, gave an overview of state support measures for projects of international and regional value that are already being implemented, and the investment potential of economic sectors in the Far East and the Arctic zone of Russia. Today, more than 3.5 thousand investment projects in the Far Eastern Federal District and the Arctic zone of the Russian Federation enjoy government support. Large-scale projects include gas processing and gas chemical plants in the Amur region, a container terminal in Primorye, and the Udokanskoye and Baimskoye fields in the Trans-Baikal Territory and the Chukotka Autonomous Okrug. Tax and administrative preferences, preferential rental rates, as well as ready-made infrastructure and comprehensive support from the FEDC will provide additional opportunities for the quick start of new production, including import-substituting and industrial cooperation between residents of the ASEZ.
