A new sports and recreation complex was opened in Vladivostok

A new gym was officially opened at secondary school No. 56 in Vladivostok. It was built with funds from the Unified Presidential Subsidy on behalf of Deputy Prime Minister, Presidential Plenipotentiary Representative in the Far Eastern Federal District Yuri Trutnev and with the assistance of the Russian Ministry of Eastern Development within the framework of the program “50 modular gyms in schools of the Far Eastern Federal District.” The “Kyokushin to School” project is being implemented in new gyms. They are equipped with the necessary facilities for practicing not only karate, but also other sports. The guest of honor at the opening ceremony was the initiator of the project, three-time world champion in Kyokushinkai karate Khaid Mantaev. Director of the Department of Social Development of the Ministry for the Development of the Russian Far East Grigory Smolyak: “The goal of the program is the construction of 50 school sports halls in the Far East in two years. In 2023, 25 new gyms were built in the Republic of Buryatia, Transbaikal, Khabarovsk, Kamchatka and Primorsky Regions, the Republic of Sakha (Yakutia), the Amur Region and the Jewish Autonomous Region. The gym at school No. 56 in Vladivostok is already the fourth one built under the program in the Primorsky Region.”
