Far Eastern designers, heads of sewing enterprises, creators of fashion collections, representatives of related creative industries, government bodies and development institutions took part in a strategic session dedicated to the development of the fashion industry, light industry and clothing brands in the Far Eastern Federal District. The event took place in Khabarovsk. It was organized by the Ministry for the Development of the Russian Far East and the Far East and Arctic Development Corporation (FEDC) together with the Pacific State University (PSU).
“The strategic session on the development of the fashion industry, light industry and Far Eastern clothing brands is an example of the Corporation’s practical work with the creative community. Five teams, made up of industry practitioners, entrepreneurs with the potential to become residents of the priority development area or the free port of Vladivostok, discussed b2b sales and retail management, strategic marketing and PR, business consolidation issues, setting up and localizing production chains, investments in the industry and infrastructure, scaling local brands and their export to Asia-Pacific countries, and much more. The strategic session gave the participants chance to discuss key challenges and opportunities for the development of light industry in the region, develop ideas for new projects, and identify growth points,” emphasized the Executive Director of the Far East Development Committee for Social Development, Gasan Gasanbalaev.
