In Magadan, the implementation of a long-term plan for comprehensive socio-economic development is underway. Among the key projects of the master plan for the capital of Kolyma is the construction of a new passenger terminal at the Sokol International Airport named after V.S. Vysotsky, reconstruction of the sea trade port "Magadan", construction of the sports and recreation complex "Northern Artek", development of the territory of the “Mayak” park, reconstruction and equipment of the educational and laboratory building of the Magadan Polytechnic College, construction of the Marine Tourist Center as part of the sea facade of Magadan, other important objects of municipal, social, transport and industrial infrastructure. In general, the master plan for the reconstruction of Magadan, which is carried out on behalf of the President of Russia with the support of the Ministry of Eastern Development of Russia, the Far East and Arctic Development Corporation (FEDC), and regional authorities, provides for the implementation of 39 projects with a total cost of over 185 billion rubles. By the end of summer 2024, work on phases 3 and 4 of the improvement of “Mayak” Park will be completed. As part of the 3rd phase, construction of the “Zaryadye” Bridge and the “Premier” cultural and public center is underway. The bridge will consist of a 126-meter-long elevated pedestrian crossing. It will connect the sports field with the pier and the “Premier” Center. The design includes two 30-meter curved consoles. The project became the winner of the VII All-Russian competition for the best projects for creating a comfortable urban environment.
