Specialists from the Arctic State Institute of Culture and Arts (ASICA, Yakutsk) have begun developing a "Model for Assessing the Creative Economy of the Far East and the Arctic". The new project is being implemented on the basis of the Laboratory for the Development of Human Capital for the Creative Economy of the Far Eastern Federal District and the Arctic Zone of the Russian Federation, created at ASIKA with the support of the Far East and Arctic Development Corporation (FEDC). The laboratory is engaged in conducting complex applied research within the framework of the “Priority-2030. Far East” program and is focused on training personnel for the creative industries of the region. Issues of practical application of the project results were discussed at a meeting in Yakutsk by the executive director of the FEDC Gasan Gasanbalaev and the rector of the ASICA Sargylana Ignatyeva.
According to the rector, the study consists of three main sections. The first section is devoted to the formation of a system of scientifically based indicators and methods for assessing the contribution of creative industries to the economy of the macro region. The second section defines the current state of key areas of creative industries and optimal directions for their development. The third section will build a multiplicative model of the creative economy taking into account the influence of creative industries on traditional industries and analyze the expected results of the projects. The study will form the basis for developing strategies for the development of the creative economy and increasing its competitiveness.
