In Khabarovsk, on the initiative of the Far East and Arctic Development Corporation (FEDC), a meeting was held with residents of preferential regimes who are implementing investment projects in the Far East in the fuel, petrochemical and forestry industries, mechanical engineering and medicine. The working meeting was timed to coincide with the preparation of the industry session as part of the business program of the Eastern Economic Forum 2024. The event was held with the support of the Ministry for the Development of the Russian Far East together with the Union of Residents, with the participation of federal and regional executive authorities, representatives of the Khabarovsk Territory Industrial Development Fund, “Gazprom Gas Distribution Far East” JSC, the Far Eastern Customs Administration, and “DRSC” JSC. According to information from Irina Serova, director of the FEDC branch in Khabarovsk, almost 50 percent of all residents of the ASEZ and FPV, who currently invest in the economy of the Khabarovsk Region and the Jewish Autonomous Region, are implementing projects in the manufacturing sector. These are 64 projects with a total volume of declared investments of 229 billion rubles, of which the business has already invested more than 151.5 billion rubles. More than 6.7 thousand new jobs have been created for local residents.
