The Far East and Arctic Development Corporation (FEDC), together with the autonomous non-profit organization "Management Company for the Development of the Eastern Hydrogen Cluster" and the autonomous non-profit organization "Center for Future Energy Systems "Enerdzhinet" with the support of the Ministry of Energy of the Sakhalin Region, held a project session on the topic "Modernization of island energy based on advanced technologies (using the example of Paramushir Island).” The discussion took place within the framework of the design and educational intensive “Archipelago 2024”. The head of the energy and housing and communal services department of the FEDC, Maxim Gubanov, noted that together with the “EnergyNet” Infrastructure Center, systematic work is being carried out to create conditions and develop smart energy in hard-to-reach and isolated territories of the Far East and the Arctic. It is proposed to raise the issue of launching pilot projects for the comprehensive modernization of local engineering infrastructure in remote and isolated areas of the Far Eastern Federal District and the Arctic zone of the Russian Federation to the level of the Government of the Russian Federation.
