Entrepreneurs and regional authorities call the priority development areas (ASEZ) and the Free Port of Vladivostok (FPV) the main mechanisms for launching new enterprises in the Far East and creating new jobs with high salaries, noting the high-quality and comprehensive support for residents from the Far East and Arctic Development Corporation (FEDC). Today, under agreements with the Far East and Arctic Development Corporation, residents of the ASEZ and FPV are implementing more than 2.8 thousand projects in the Far East with an investment volume of about 9 trillion rubles, creating 285 thousand jobs. Business has launched 880 projects, invested more than 4 trillion rubles in the economy and created over 140 thousand jobs.
Governor of Kamchatka Region Vladimir Solodov announced the results achieved by regional businesses operating under the preferential conditions of the priority development areas and free port regimes.
"About 240 investment projects are being actively implemented in Kamchatka, and more than 200 billion rubles of investments have been attracted. The key instrument for this is the “Kamchatka” ASEZ regime and the free port of Vladivostok regime, which have made it possible to begin construction of large infrastructure and business facilities. Among them are a new airport terminal, a large greenhouse, hotel, port complex, and many tourist infrastructure facilities, food production enterprises. Thanks to the special economic zone regimes, thousands of new jobs have been created in Kamchatka. This has a significant impact on the region's economy, the well-being of its residents, and the creation of new opportunities for the development of the region," said the head of the region.
