The event was attended by Elvira Nurgalieva, Deputy Minister of the Russian Federation for the Development of the Far East and Arctic, Fyodor Sosnov, Executive Director of the Cinema Fund, as well as producers and representatives of the winning projects. The Cinema Fund's Far East competition is supported by the Ministry for the Development of the Russian Far East and the Far East and Arctic Development Corporation (FEDC).
In 2026, 34 projects applied for the competition. Grant support was distributed among three films set in the Far East. One of the key conditions of the competition was that at least 30% of the projects be produced by specialists residing in the Far Eastern Federal District, and that a portion of the funds be allocated to work with regional companies and the self-employed.
