The first enterprises have been put into operation at the Sakhalin Oil and Gas Industrial Park (SakhOGIP), created in the “Sakhalin” ASEZ under an agreement with the Far East and Arctic Development Corporation (FEDC). Resident companies of SakhOGIP and "Sakhalin" ASEZ: "MetallServiceNeftegaz" and "VMS Engineering" specialize in the manufacture of metal structures, repair and maintenance of equipment for oil and gas industry enterprises. They will soon begin manufacturing products and providing services. State support and comprehensive support of the Far East and Arctic Development Corporation create comfortable conditions for the implementation of projects in the key industry for the island, help introduce new service and production capacities in an accelerated time frame, ensuring the sustainable operation of oil and gas operators.
"The Sakhalin Oil and Gas Industrial Park is a platform for creating service and production companies in the oil and gas industry. Residents are given the opportunity to build their own production facilities and operate the Park's engineering infrastructure. At the moment, “MetallServisNeftegaz” and “VMS Engineering” are ready to start manufacturing products and providing services. New enterprises will be put into operation gradually. They will also be able to use tax breaks and administrative preferences due to their status as residents of the “Sakhalin” ASEZ, said Maria Grishinkova, Director of the “Sakhalin and Kuril Islands” branch of the FEDC.
