Zorikto Dorzhiev on creative clusters, monetization of creativity, and inspiration

Artificial intelligence, the nature of inspiration, the impact of global events on art, and the monetization of creativity—these and other topics were discussed during a public talk with Russian Buryat artist and sculptor Zorigto Dorzhiev. The conversation with the renowned artist took place at the International Forum of Creative Industries "Created in the Far East," which is taking place in Ulan-Ude from May 21 to 23. The event is organized by the Ministry for the Development of the Russian Far East, the Far East and Arctic Development Corporation, and the Government of the Republic of Buryatia. The session was moderated by Russian journalist and television host Alexander Yakovlev.

The conversation was informal and began with a discussion of the impact of modern technology on art and creativity in general, and whether artificial intelligence is killing art or opening up new possibilities. According to the artist, any new technology is a tool that he uses just like his hands.

The relationship between creators and patrons was highlighted: the aspiring artists asked for advice on how to find and work with a producer at the very beginning. According to Zorigto Dorzhiev, the creative-producer partnership is a key concern for every artist, and he shared his experience here. As is well known, the artist has been working with the Konstantin Khankhalaev Gallery for over 20 years.
