Housing and social infrastructure are being built in Magadan as part of the city development plan
In accordance with the long-term plan for the comprehensive socio-economic development of Magadan, measures are being implemented to develop the municipal, social, transport and industrial infrastructure of the city. Among the main points of the city master plan are the renovation of the seaport and fishing port, the creation of a marine tourist center, the construction of a new passenger terminal at the Vysotsky International Airport, and the comprehensive development of the Gorokhovoye Pole district.
The head of the construction department of the Ministry of Construction, Housing, Communal Services and Energy of the Magadan Region, Vladimir Dlinnykh, said that it is planned to build 12 apartment buildings on Gorokhovoye Pole.
Executive Director of the Far East and Arctic Development Corporation for Social Development Gasan Gasanbalaev: “The integrated development of the Gorokhovoye Pole district is one of the most ambitious projects in Kolyma in recent decades. A modern and comfortable urban neighborhood will be built here. New housing will be provided to public sector employees. A multidisciplinary rehabilitation center for people with disabilities for 50 places, a multifunctional cultural center, a shopping arcade, a multi-level parking with commercial premises on the ground floor, a hotel, a clinic, a kindergarten for 340 places, an educational center for 657 places, a school for 1 thousand students. Many of these facilities are being built using the Far Eastern Concession mechanism.”
