Land for people. Problems of increasing the efficiency of the ”Hektar” program and disseminating best practices among plot recipients were discussed on Sakhalin
The Far East and Arctic Development Corporation (FEDC), together with the government of the Sakhalin region, organized an interregional conference in Yuzhno-Sakhalinsk on the implementation of the “Hektar” program. The conference was attended by representatives of the Ministry of Eastern Development of Russia, the Corporation for the Development of the Far East and the Arctic, representatives of ministries and departments of property and land relations of the regions, representatives of government authorities, and experts. During the event, representatives of the Arctic regions of the Russian Federation, where the program started on August 1, 2021, discussed current issues of implementing the Hektar program with their Far Eastern colleagues.
Director of the Department of Social Development of the Ministry of Eastern Development of Russia Grigory Smolyak, welcoming the participants, noted that the Hektar program has been implemented for more than 7 years, and stable demand for land remains. Every year, more than 10 thousand plots of land are allocated to citizens in the Far East and the Arctic. The number of people who received land in the Far Eastern Federal District and the Russian Arctic exceeded 128 thousand, including more than 112 thousand in the Far East, and 5.4 thousand in the Arctic zone of the Russian Federation.
