"The working day begins here": How industrial tourism will attract young people to work in the Far East

At the plenary session of the Russian-Chinese Industrial Tourism Forum "Open Industry" in the Amur Region, Yulia Ivanova, Deputy Director of the Investment Department of the Far East and Arctic Development Corporation (FEDC), presented key areas for industrial tourism development in the Far East. The speaker noted the dynamic growth of tourism in the macro-region and the high potential of industrial facilities being built with state support for attracting tourists and providing career guidance to young people.

“Work is underway to create an interregional industrial route, "The Working Day Begins Here." Project participants include the Amursky, Khabarovsky, Sakhalinsky Regions, and Transbaikalye. The route includes at least 15 sites: the Vostochny Cosmodrome, aircraft factories, modern airports, innovative processing facilities, and mining enterprises. Large enterprises such as “Bystrinsky Mining and Processing Plant”, “Udokan Copper”, and “Sakhalin Energy” have joined the project, which is primarily aimed at young people. During the industrial tour, young people will be able to see the full product creation cycle—from raw material extraction to high-tech assembly—and experience the Far Eastern spirit of the region, feel pride for the country, and perhaps realize their potential as specialists in the Far East," Yulia Ivanova emphasized.
