Salaries in the Far East exceeded the Russian average by 14.5%

Experts from the Far East and Arctic Development Corporation (FEDC) have prepared an analytical review of salaries in the constituent entities of the Far Eastern Federal District for enterprises - residents in priority development territories (ASEZ), the free port of Vladivostok (FPV) and regional investment projects. According to the FEDC, in the period from 2018 to 2022, the level of average nominal wages in the Far East constantly exceeds the all-Russian indicator. In 2022, the excess was 14.5%. The growth of the Far Eastern Federal District economy and the need for qualified personnel contributed to increased competition in the labor market. This led to an increase in salaries in Russian private companies (from 2018 to 2022 - by 60.9%). In state-owned and foreign companies, the increase was more modest – 35.7% each. Among the industries of the Far East, the highest wages are still noted in mining - 139.5 thousand rubles. Wages in the real sector are growing at a high rate. For the period from 2018 to 2022 in agriculture, primarily due to fishing and fish farming, the increase in wages was 63%, construction - 58%, manufacturing - 52%, with an average growth rate of wages in the Far Eastern Federal District of 44.8%.
