Deputy Minister for Development of the Far East and Arctic Elvira Nurgalieva assessed the projects of Sakhalin State University

Deputy Minister of the Russian Federation for the Development of the Far East and Arctic Elvira Nurgalieva visited Sakhalin State University. During the visit, she got acquainted with the main projects and developments of the university, and toured the laboratories of the Institute of Natural Sciences and Technosphere Safety of Sakhalin State University. The visit began with a presentation of the world-class “SakhalinTech” campus, construction of which started in August. Acting Rector of the University Alexander Samardak introduced the key areas of work of the new campus, including the economics of the oceans, climate and ecology, aquatic biotechnology, new energy, oil and gas technologies and issues related to the study of the Asia-Pacific region.
