Deputy Minister for the Development of the Russian Far East Vitaly Altabaev and Governor of Primorye Oleg Kozhemyako discussed the further development of Russky Island

On April 11, in Vladivostok, Deputy Head of the Ministry for the Development of the Russian Far East Vitaly Altabaev and Governor of Primorsky Region Oleg Kozhemyako held a meeting on the development of Russky Island. The agenda included the implementation of investment projects on Russky Island and the provision of its territory with engineering infrastructure, as well as a discussion of the plan for the further construction and operation of the Innovative Scientific and Technological Center (ISTC). On Russky Island, ASEZ and FPV residents are currently implementing 11 investment projects that have brought in more than 35.1 billion rubles in investment. Among them are an IT park and a business center, a tennis academy, a sports and recreation park, the Amur Tiger Safari Park, a water park, a tourist center, and several housing construction projects. Another 5 major projects worth 161 billion rubles and 5.5 thousand new jobs are being considered for implementation. A particular topic on the agenda of the meeting was the discussion of the effectiveness of the special preferential regime of the SAR created on Russky Island and the activities of its residents. To date, 114 companies with assets of over 5.5 trillion rubles are residents of the SAR. They have already brought 30 billion rubles in taxes paid to the Russian budget. More than 70% of them go to Primorye, including for the development of the island's infrastructure. The list of priority activities for the creation of engineering facilities on the island includes: construction and reconstruction of the water supply system, installation of electrical networks, modernization of the heat supply network and storm drains, as well as the corresponding design and survey work. The total investment volume is estimated at 23 billion rubles.
