In Kamchatka, the situation in the energy complex of the peninsula was discussed

Deputy Chairman of the Government of the Russian Federation - Plenipotentiary Representative of the President of the Russian Federation in the Far Eastern Federal District Yuri Trutnev held a meeting on the development of the energy complex of the Kamchatka Region. “We have been discussing the issue related to providing energy for the Kamchatka Region for several years. A number of solutions have been proposed. The basic solution that is being implemented is related to ensuring the supply of Kamchatka with liquefied natural gas. This must be implemented within the approved period - in 2026. Besides, we previously examined the possibilities of developing geothermal energy. I think this is also important,” Yuri Trutnev opened the meeting. Yuri Trutnev instructed PJSC “RusHydro”, JSC “Zarubezhneft”, “Rosatom”, VEB.RF with the participation of the Ministry of Energy of Russia, the government of the Kamchatka Region to submit proposals to the Government of the Russian Federation on promising projects in the field of geothermal, renewable and nuclear energy, including optimal solutions for their financing.
