The Trans-Baikal Foreign Economic Forum "New Horizons 2026" will be held in Chita on April 23–24. This event, which will serve as a visiting platform for the Eastern Economic Forum for the fourth time, will bring together leading experts and representatives from Russia, China, and Mongolia.

The Forum's main agenda focuses on strengthening trade and industrial ties. Participants will discuss expanding cooperation in the energy and mining sectors, as well as developing transport, logistics, and digital infrastructure.

"The “New Horizons Forum” is a significant international event. Representatives from the business communities of China and Mongolia, delegates from neighboring regions of the Far Eastern Federal District, and heads of major federal corporations come to us. With Russia's economic shift to the East, our region has found itself at the forefront of trade and diplomatic relations with Asian countries," noted Alexander Osipov, Governor of the Zabaikalsky Region.

The main event will be the plenary session. Experts will analyze the role of the Zabaikalsky Region as a region particularly suitable for large-scale joint projects between Russia, China, and Mongolia.
