“The significance of the Far Eastern Federal District has undoubtedly grown. Export flows that have turned all the way eastward create both new challenges and new opportunities. New challenges are related to the need for greater development of transport routes, the Eastern Range and the Northern Sea Route. New opportunities are opened up by the greater intensity of cooperation with friendly countries, especially in the field of technology development. We have reported all this to the President and a number of decisions have been made that will help us work faster,” the Deputy Prime Minister said.
The Far Eastern Federal District exceeds the Russian average in a number of indicators. A significant contribution to its development was made by preferential regimes - the territories of advanced development (ASEZ) and the Free port of Vladivostok (FPV). Budget investments in the creation of preferential regimes have paid off. The entire volume of revenues shortfalls received by the budget, as well as investments made in infrastructure, has not only paid off, but today has brought the Russian budget 50 billion rubles in profit.
