Yuri Trutnev: Residents of Ussuriysk, whose houses are recognized as uninhabitable due to floods, will receive new housing

Deputy Prime Minister of the Russian Federation - Plenipotentiary Representative of the President of the Russian Federation in the Far Eastern Federal District Yury Trutnev visited the flood zones in Ussuriysk and held consultations on the elimination of the consequences of natural disasters in the Primorsky Region. The agenda included issues of organizing work to assess damage from the negative consequences of the flood, payments to the residents, restoration of housing and infrastructure, aspects of emergency response and emergency rescue operations, and the implementation of state support mechanisms for the citizens and organizations, affected because of the flood. The issue of building new housing for residents of Ussuriysk, whose housing was recognized as unsuitable for living due to the consequences of the flood, was considered. “We agreed with the head of the region that new housing will be built and handed over to people within a year,” Yuri Trutnev emphasized. Following the meeting, Yuri Trutnev instructed the responsible federal ministries and departments to submit proposals for preventive measures aimed at minimizing the damage caused by natural disasters. “Each department, taking into account its specifics, will analyze and propose measures to prevent an emergency, and not just measures to eliminate their consequences,” said Yuri Trutnev.
