Yuri Trutnev met with investors from the Zabaikalsky Region
Deputy Prime Minister of the Russian Federation – Plenipotentiary Representative of the President of the Russian Federation in the Far Eastern Federal District Yuri Trutnev held a meeting on the implementation of investment projects in the Zabaikalsky Region.
"Attracting investments was and remains the main instrument for the development of the Far East. It is thanks to the construction of new enterprises and the creation of new jobs that the region is developing. In order to create favorable conditions for investors, the priority development area "Zabaikalye" has been formed, and financial and infrastructure support measures are in place. These support measures have already been used by 78 investors with projects worth more than half a trillion rubles, of which 323 billion rubles have already been invested. 24 projects have been commissioned. More than 11 thousand new jobs have been created. One of the significant problems is the shortage of electric energy. The deficit is estimated at more than 1 GW of capacity. The President of the Russian Federation Vladimir Vladimirovich Putin has given the order to develop a strategy for the development of generating capacities in the Far East," Yuri Trutnev opened the meeting.
A project for the development of the “Kultuminsky” copper-gold deposit was presented at the meeting. It is being developed by the “Highland Gold Group”. The “Huatai” Mining Company presented a project for the development of the “Berezovsky” iron ore deposit and the construction of a mining and processing plant for the enrichment of iron ores. Resident of the “Zabaikalye” priority development area, the company “WB Chita” (Wildberries) intends to build a modern high-tech warehouse complex on the territory of the “Kadalinsky” industrial park. A large transport and logistics hub will be built in Zabaikalye, which will significantly increase trade turnover with China. About 30 billion rubles will be invested in the new project.
Summing up the meeting, the Deputy Prime Minister noted that investors implementing projects in the Transbaikal region and other Far Eastern regions will receive the necessary support from development institutions and federal and regional authorities.
