The effectiveness of the "Patrioticheskaya" ASEZ, created to support manufacturers of goods for the needs of a Special Military Operation (SMO), was discussed in a meeting of the Far Eastern Federal District Council, chaired by Deputy Chairman of the Russian Government – Plenipotentiary Representative of the President of the Russian Federation in the Far Eastern Federal District Yuri Trutnev.
Support measures for the "Patrioticheskaya" ASEZ appeared in 2023. Since then, several production centers for the types of equipment and gear needed to conduct a Special Military Operation have been established in the Far Eastern regions. Support for enterprises is provided in three areas: purchasing products in demand in the SMO zone; supporting manufacturers by partially compensating the cost of production equipment, compensating rent for production facilities, transportation costs, etc.; subsidizing the interest rate on the loan, when the preferential rate for manufacturers in this case is only 1%.
As part of this set of state support measures, products manufactured by Far Eastern enterprises worth a total of 6.0 billion rubles were delivered to the SMO zone in 2023-2024, including UAVs, FPV drones of various modifications, all-terrain vehicles, buggies, thermal imaging sights, body armor, and hemostatic tourniquets.
