Yuri Trutnev: The construction of a thermal power plant in Artem and a power plant in Partizansk is an integral part of the work to provide energy to the Far Eastern Federal District

During his working visit to Primorsky Region, Yuri Trutnev, Deputy Prime Minister of the Russian Federation and Presidential Plenipotentiary Envoy to the Far Eastern Federal District and Chairman of the Board of Directors of PJSC “RusHydro”, visited the village of Olenye to review the construction of the “Shkotovskaya” Thermal Power Plant (Artemovskaya Thermal Power Plant-2) and the modernization of the “Partizanskaya” State District Power Plant (SDPP).

"The commissioning of new power generation capacity, including the “Shkotovskaya” Thermal Power Plant and the “Partizanskaya” SDPP, will help balance electricity consumption in the region. Even larger energy projects lie ahead. I hope they will all be completed on schedule and will enable the development of industry, housing construction, and the overall economy of Primorsky Region," noted Primorsky Region Governor Oleg Kozhemyako.

The “Shkotovskaya” Thermal Power Plant is one of six “RusHydro” projects under the state program for the development of thermal power in the Far East. The project is being implemented to replace depreciated capacity and provide power to new consumers, such as the Eastern Polygon of Russian Railways. The combined electric capacity of these power facilities will be 2.1 GW, with a thermal capacity of over 2,500 Gcal/h.

In Partizansk, Yuri Trutnev inspected the expansion project for the main power supply in the southeastern Primorsky Region – the “Partizanskaya” Power Plant. It includes the construction of two new power units with a total capacity of 280 MW. They will supply electricity to Russian Railways traction substations as part of a state project to increase the capacity of the Trans-Siberian Railway.

Currently, the entire operating section of the plant generates approximately 200 MW. Once completed, the total capacity will exceed 480 MW, and annual electricity generation will reach 1.5 billion kilowatt-hours. The new power units of “Partizanskaya” SDPP will effectively be a standalone power plant with its own fuel supply and process water supply systems. The boilers will be equipped with modern electrostatic precipitators with a 99% purification efficiency; their installation is currently being completed. The equipment will fully comply with environmental requirements.
