Yuri Trutnev: effective preferential regimes need to be extended

At a meeting of the interdepartmental working group on the creation of SEZs and ASEZs in single-industry towns, Deputy Chairman of the Government of the Russian Federation - Plenipotentiary Representative of the President of the Russian Federation in the Far Eastern Federal District Yuri Trutnev instructed the Ministry for the Development of the Russian Far East, the Ministry of Economic Development of Russia and the Ministry of Finance of Russia to analyze the work of preferential regimes and submit proposals to the Government of the Russian Federation on extending the validity of those preferential regimes that make a significant contribution to the development of the regional economy.

According to the vice-premier, "the meaning of preferential regimes is to develop faster the economy of the regions and the country as a whole." “And taking into account the current economic situation, taking into account the requirements that are imposed on the country's economy, it is necessary for preferential zones, which are operating efficiently, to extend the period of validity,” he said.
