Yuri Trutnev: The Russian-Chinese EXPO is an important and useful platform for developing bilateral relations

In Harbin, Yury Trutnev, Deputy Prime Minister of the Russian Federation and Presidential Plenipotentiary Envoy to the Far Eastern Federal District, and Zhang Guoqing, Vice Premier of the State Council of the People's Republic of China, opened the 10th Russia-China Expo, which has become an important trade and industrial platform promoting the expansion and diversification of the partnership between the two countries. Yury Trutnev read a message of greetings from Russian President Vladimir Putin to the event's participants and organizers. Zhang Guoqing read a message of greetings from Chinese President Xi Jinping.

The EXPO is supported by the Ministry of Industry and Trade of the Russian Federation and the Ministry of Economic Development of the Russian Federation, and the Chinese organizers are the Ministry of Commerce of the People's Republic of China and the People's Government of Heilongjiang Province.

This year, the total area of the Russian-Chinese exhibition was 12,000 square meters. The Russian section, covering 4,500 square meters, featured 250 organizations. Among them were leading Russian companies, including VTB, “Rostec” State Corporation, and Alfa-Bank. Sixteen Russian regions are also represented at the Russian part of the exhibition: Amur, Arkhangelsk, Murmansk, Ryazan, Sverdlovsk, and Tver Regions; Moscow; Zabaikalsky, Kamchatsky, Khabarovsky, and Primorsky Regions; the Republics of Buryatia, Komi, Sakha (Yakutia), Tatarstan, and Khanty-Mansi Autonomous District - Yugra. Pavilions representing Chinese provinces and booths of Russian and Chinese companies are also featured.
