Yuri Trutnev inspected the construction of the airport in Blagoveshchensk

During a working visit to the Amur Region, Deputy Chairman of the Government of the Russian Federation – Plenipotentiary Representative of the President of the Russian Federation in the Far Eastern Federal District Yuri Trutnev inspected the progress of reconstruction, modernization and operation of infrastructure facilities at the Blagoveshchensk International Airport named after N.N. Muravyov-Amursky (Ignatievo). Large-scale reconstruction is underway at Blagoveshchensk International Airport. As part of the airfield infrastructure upgrade, a taxiway connecting the new runway with the new apron has been put into operation. It is 320 m long and 46 m wide. The new areas allow the apron to accommodate up to five narrow-body aircraft or up to three wide-body aircraft. A special area for aircraft de-icing has also been equipped here. The construction of the new terminal of Blagoveshchensk airport is also ongoing. The new airport complex will be 3.5 times larger than the current one. The total area is more than 25 thousand square meters. The capacity is at least 600 passengers per hour on domestic flights and 400 passengers per hour on international flights. Completion of construction and commissioning is scheduled for 2025.
