Yuri Trutnev inspected the Arctic Integrated Emergency Rescue Center in Chukotka

As part of a working visit to the Chukotka Autonomous Okrug, Deputy Prime Minister of the Russian Federation and Presidential Plenipotentiary Envoy to the Far Eastern Federal District Yuri Trutnev visited the Arctic Integrated Emergency and Rescue Center in Pevek.

The Arctic Integrated Emergency and Rescue Center is designed to protect the population, territory, and critical national security facilities from natural and man-made risks. Its coverage area includes the entire Chukotka Autonomous District and part of the Northern Sea Route. The Arctic Center's resources will ensure constant readiness and reduce response times for the unified state emergency prevention and response system in hard-to-reach areas. The Arctic Center employs 50 specialists, including 29 rescuers on permanent duty. They are equipped with 31 pieces of modern specialized equipment, including emergency rescue vehicles, all-terrain vehicles, off-road vehicles, airboats, and boats. The Center's core consists of a search and rescue unit, a daily command and control unit, an unmanned aerial system unit, and a logistics and medical support unit.
