Yuri Trutnev introduced the Acting Governor of the Chukotka Autonomous Okrug

Deputy Prime Minister of the Russian Federation - Plenipotentiary Representative of the President of the Russian Federation in the Far Eastern Federal District Yury Trutnev introduced the governor's office and the government of the Chukotka Autonomous Okrug, as well as the deputies of the regional Duma, the new head of the region - acting Governor Vladislav Kuznetsov.

“The Chukotka Autonomous Okrug is a severe region. Brave people with strong character live here. Roman Valentinovich Kopin served as Governor of the Chukotka Autonomous Okrug for 15 years. During this time, a floating nuclear power plant was installed in Pevek, the implementation of the largest project for the development of the Baimskaya ore zone was launched, thousands of people received their “Far Eastern hectare”, and 224 families got apartments thanks to preferential “Far Eastern mortgages”.

The Deputy Prime Minister thanked the former head of the region for his conscientious work as governor and introduced the new acting governor.

In the next two months, Vladislav Kuznetsov intends to visit the entire district's settlements, discuss actual issues with residents and local administrations, and after that, plunging into the problems, outline the main development drivers and priorities.
