As part of a working visit to Kamchatka Region, Deputy Prime Minister of the Russian Federation – Plenipotentiary Representative of the President of the Russian Federation in the Far Eastern Federal District Yuri Trutnev visited the year-round greenhouse complex "Kamchatsky", created on the initiative of the head of the region Vladimir Solodov and within the framework of the "People's Program".
Kamchatka residents have repeatedly addressed the head of the region Vladimir Solodov with rebukes about the low quality of imported vegetables and their high cost.
"I asked the managers of the complex how much the cost of products in the region has decreased after the launch of the complex. They replied that prices on the market at the launch of the complex fell more than twofold. It seems to me that this is a very good argument to say that the products are in demand. The enterprise has already occupied 60% of the fresh vegetable market - a large percentage. In general, a lot of experience has been gained in supporting the construction of greenhouse complexes in different territories of the Far East. And greenhouse products are popular with the people," said Yuri Trutnev.
