Yuri Trutnev visited the “Kultuminsky” Mining and Processing Plant in Transbaikalia

During a working visit to the Trans-Baikal Region, Deputy Prime Minister of the Russian Federation and Presidential Plenipotentiary Envoy to the Far Eastern Federal District Yuri Trutnev visited the “Kultuminsky” Mining and Processing Plant, a large, promising mining and processing plant located in the Gazimuro-Zavodsky District of the Trans-Baikal Region, based on the polymetallic deposit of the same name. He spoke with the management and employees of the enterprise.

"Companies are creating new jobs and developing the economies of Transbaikal and Russia. Today, copper and gold prices are high. This allows us to be confident of high profitability. I am pleased to see a new economic project emerging in Transbaikal," said Yuri Trutnev.

The “Kultuminsky” Mining and Processing Plant is one of the key residents of the “Transbaikalye” ASEZ and is being implemented using modern technological solutions. The project focuses on gold, copper, and silver mining.

"The project was completed in a record-breaking timeframe by industry standards: the additional exploration, technological research, design, and construction stages were completed in less than four years. The license for the deposit was obtained in May 2022, and the first batch of commercial products was shipped in December 2025," noted Vladislav Sviblov, CEO of the “Areal” Group.
