Yuri Trutnev instructed to extend the regime of the “Patriotic” ASEZ to the Arctic regions

In Petrozavodsk, Deputy Chairman of the Government of the Russian Federation - Plenipotentiary Representative of the President of the Russian Federation in the Far Eastern Federal District Yuri Trutnev held a meeting on the implementation of investment projects in the Republic of Karelia. “The wood processing, pulp and paper, and mining industries form the basis for the development of the republic (Karelia). It is clear that, as for any (other) territory, the influx of investment is of fundamental importance. Due to changes in the international situation, and in fact, the forthcoming of NATO borders to our territory, the issue of accelerating economic development and strengthening the republic as a whole is becoming even more important,” Yuri Trutnev opened the meeting. Yuri Trutnev instructed the Ministry of Eastern Development of Russia and the FEDC to study the issue of extending the “Patriotic” ASEZ regime to the Arctic territories in order to use here the form of support for industry that is already being implemented in the Far East, to ensure Victory in a special military operation.
