In emergency response situations, executive bodies of constituent entities of the Russian Federation and local governments are faced with the need to comply with certain legal norms that prevent regulatory bodies from effectively implementing response measures. This, in turn, leads to an increase in the number of victims, material damage, delays in restoration work, and a decrease in public confidence in government authorities.
Following the meeting, Yuri Trutnev instructed the Russian Ministry of Emergency Situations, together with the Ministry for the Development of the Russian Far East, to analyze current legislation and, in conjunction with interested federal ministries and agencies, propose necessary legislative amendments.
