Yuri Trutnev inspected the training facilities of the Transbaikal Mining College, the best in the country for graduate employment

As part of his working visit to the Trans-Baikal Region, Deputy Prime Minister of the Russian Federation and Presidential Plenipotentiary Envoy to the Far Eastern Federal District Yury Trutnev visited the Trans-Baikal Mining College named after M.I. Agoshkov, one of the region's modern professional educational institutions. For nearly 110 years, it has been training specialists for the mining industry in the region and across the country.

"Educational institutions like these not only encourage people to stay and work in the Far East. I'm amazed by the figures they told me: the competition for admission is up to 30 people per place. This educational institution contributes to the development of the Russian economy, because mining is one of the industries that helps strengthen our economy and generates the funds needed for the national budget," said Yuri Trutnev.

Since 2025, the Transbaikal Mining College has been a mining cluster within the federal "Professionalism" project of the presidential national project "Youth and Children." The college is the core of the cluster, and its members include major enterprises: “Mangazeya Mining” LLC, “Bystrinskoye” Mining Company” LLC, “Udokanskaya Med” LLC, “Ust-Kara” Mining Company” JSC, “Vertikal” LLC, and “Solovyevsky” Mining Company” OJSC. The college's key feature is its established continuous education pathway: School – College – Employer.
