Yuri Trutnev discussed the launch of new investment projects on Russky Island

During a working trip to Primorsky Krai, Deputy Prime Minister of the Russian Federation - Plenipotentiary Representative of the President of the Russian Federation in the Far Eastern Federal District Yuri Trutnev held a meeting on promising projects on Russky Island. “We agreed that we must maintain the general direction of the development of the island, connected with science and education. Actually, this is what is happening now. A music school and a choreographic school were built. A number of residents showed up to implement new projects. Let's see what these projects are and what efforts we must make to ensure that the projects take place and the island continues to develop,” Yury Trutnev opened the meeting. On Russky Island, the necessary conditions are being created for the development of science, technology, education, business and tourism. The Government of Russia has approved an action plan for the implementation of the Concept for the Development of Russky Island. The plan includes 40 points, of which 22 have already been completed. In particular, a fundamental decision was made to create a mega science installation “Russian Photon Source” on Russky Island, PJSC “RusHydro” launched the first engineering center specializing in research in the field of thermal generation and wind energy, the construction of the educational part of the museum complex and the theater and educational complex was completed. 12 companies expressed their desire to become residents of the ASEZ on Russky Island; two of them have already submitted applications to the FEDC. The meeting presented promising projects of four companies planning to implement projects in the ASEZ on Russky Island, with a total investment of more than 43 billion rubles and the creation of more than 1,600 jobs.
