Yury Trutnev discussed with the management of Chinese companies the launch of new projects in the Russian Far East
On May 22, in Shanghai (People's Republic of China), Deputy Prime Minister of the Russian Federation - Plenipotentiary Representative of the President of the Russian Federation in the Far Eastern Federal District Yuri Trutnev held a series of meetings with the leadership of Chinese companies to discuss the development of cooperation between the Russian Federation and China in the Russian Far East. The event was attended by Alexei Chekunkov, Minister of the Russian Federation for the Development of the Far East and the Arctic.
Negotiations were held with the leadership of transport, construction, logistics, energy and high-tech companies.
Among the discussed projects were the initiatives of the Chinese side to create Russian-Chinese logistics centers. Issues of optimizing logistics supplies and minimizing the time for customs procedures for the transportation of products and equipment were raised. Yuri Trutnev suggested that the Chinese partners, together with the Ministry for the Development of the Russian Far East and the FEDC, work out proposals for improving legislation in order to create a special regime that promotes the growth of trade between Russia and China.
The possibility of building international bridges between Russia and China was also discussed. During the discussion of projects in the energy sector, the Deputy Prime Minister invited Chinese companies to consider the possibility of launching projects using renewable energy sources in the Kamchatka Region. Questions were raised about the implementation of projects in the Russian Far East within the framework of a new preferential regime - an international territory of advanced development.
Following the discussions, the Deputy Prime Minister instructed the Ministry for the Development of the Russian Far East and the FEDC to help Chinese investors launch and implement projects in the Far East as soon as possible.
