The issue of preparing the Far Eastern Federal District regions for the 2026 flood and fire season was included on the agenda of a meeting of the Far Eastern Federal District Council chaired by Yuri Trutnev, Deputy Prime Minister of Russia and Presidential Plenipotentiary Envoy to the Far Eastern Federal District.
Regional leaders reported on preparations for potential natural disasters. Summing up the discussion, Yuri Trutnev emphasized the need to take preventative measures to the necessary extent. "We must do everything possible to minimize damage from natural disasters, and, better yet, prevent natural emergencies," he said.
