As part of a working visit to Khabarovsk Region, Deputy Prime Minister of the Russian Federation – Plenipotentiary Representative of the President of the Russian Federation in the Far Eastern Federal District Yuri Trutnev held a meeting on issues of socio-economic development of Khabarovsk Region. The agenda included consideration of key results and plans for the development of Khabarovsk Region, and issues of attracting investment.
"Khabarovsk Region is one of the largest and most industrially developed regions of the Far East. Industrial production and investment in fixed capital increased by 5.5% and 32.5%, respectively. The growth rate of average wages was 120% compared to 2023, unemployment is at one of the lowest levels in the Far East (1.6%). Consolidated budget revenues are growing - by 16% in 2024. The overall picture of how Khabarovsk Region is working looks good," Yuri Trutnev opened the meeting.
According to the results of 2024, Khabarovsk Krai showed positive dynamics in a number of indicators. For 2024, the volume of gross regional product is estimated to exceed 1.4 trillion rubles or 103.2% of 2023 in real terms. Industrial production and investment in fixed assets increased by 5.5% and 32.5%, respectively. And in the first quarter of 2025, industrial production growth amounted to 16% due to the manufacturing sector and the natural resource complex.
The region's consolidated budget revenues increased by 16% in 2024 and amounted to RUB 225.9 billion in 2024 (RUB 194.8 billion in 2023), while its own revenues increased by 19.7% and amounted to RUB 185.7 billion (RUB 155.2 billion in 2023). According to the results of the first quarter of 2025, the growth of tax and non-tax budget revenues amounted to 17.3% compared to the corresponding period of the previous year.
