Yuri Trutnev and Andrei Chibis discussed the socio-economic development of the Murmansk region

A working meeting between Deputy Prime Minister of the Russian Federation and Presidential Plenipotentiary Envoy to the Far Eastern Federal District Yuri Trutnev and Governor Andrei Chibis took place in Murmansk. The main topic was the socioeconomic development of the Murmansk Region.

"Yuri Petrovich, thank you, the Russian Government, and our President, Vladimir Vladimirovich Putin, for supporting a number of important decisions. They are changing the lives of northerners who live and work in challenging climate conditions. Decisions like the 2% “Arctic Mortgage” and the implementation of long-term comprehensive plans are improving the quality of life for our people and making our region a better place. I would like to point out that despite all the difficulties associated with sanctions pressure, we are seeing economic growth: total investment in the Murmansk Region over the past six years has reached 1.5 trillion rubles, new jobs are being created, our partner companies are implementing investment projects, and we are developing our region through social partnership agreements with large businesses," the regional governor noted.
