Deputy Prime Minister of the Russian Federation - Plenipotentiary Representative of the President of the Russian Federation in the Far Eastern Federal District Yuri Trutnev held a meeting on the restoration of the territories of the Donetsk People's Republic under the patronage of the Far Eastern regions and plans for 2025. At the site of the Government of the Russian Federation in such a format with the heads of regions of the Far Eastern Federal District, representatives of federal ministries, the leadership of the DPR, heads of municipal districts of the DPR, a discussion of joint work on the restoration of Donbass is taking place for the first time.
"In accordance with the Decree of the President of the Russian Federation, since June 2022, the subjects of the Far Eastern Federal District have been working to restore social infrastructure in the territories of the Donetsk People's Republic liberated fr om the Armed Forces of Ukraine. Our heads of regions have taken up this work with a sincere desire to help. They personally travel to the new territories. Thus, the governor of the Amur Region has visited Donetsk ten times, the heads of the Republic of Sakha (Yakutia), Kamchatka and Sakhalin Regions - nine times each, the Republic of Buryatia and Khabarovsk Region - seven times each. There are simply no heads of regions who have not visited the DPR," said Yuri Trutnev.
In total, 844 facilities in 24 settlements of the DPR were repaired in 2022-2024. 117 units of automobile and special equipment were purchased. Medical and health recreation was organized for more than 8.6 thousand children. The regions of the Far Eastern Federal District sent 1,367.91 tons of humanitarian aid to Donbass.
In 2025, it is planned to restore social infrastructure in 22 settlements of six municipalities of the DPR sponsored territories, wh ere more than 232 thousand people live. 165 facilities will be restored, including four hospitals, 14 schools, five kindergartens, eight playgrounds and sports grounds, 135.28 thousand square meters of roads and 5.67 km of water pipes will be put in order. The purchase of equipment will continue, the work of emergency rescue teams will be organized. More than 2.6 thousand children will receive medical and health recreation.
