Yuri Trutnev: “Far Eastern Concession” helps implement the master plan for Birobidzhan
In Birobidzhan, Deputy Chairman of the Government of the Russian Federation - Plenipotentiary Representative of the President of the Russian Federation in the Far Eastern Federal District, Yuri Trutnev, held a meeting on the implementation of projects based on concession agreements in the Jewish Autonomous Region.
One of the projects is the modernization of the external lighting system of the regional capital. It involves the creation of more than 2.5 thousand new light points and the replacement of more than 3.6 thousand lamps. “In October 2022, the presidium of the Government Commission on Social and Economic Development of the Far East approved and reserved funding from the federal budget in the amount of 1.7 billion rubles for the modernization of outdoor lighting. The planned completion date is 2024,” said Yuri Trutnev.
In May of this year, a concession agreement was concluded with the investor. The concessionaire, using its own funds, began designing and modernizing the lighting system. The necessary materials are already being delivered. By the end of the year, 170 new supports and 470 lamps will be installed.
The project for the construction of the Birobidzhan – Ungun – Leninskoye highway with overpasses was discussed.
A report was made on the project for the design and construction of a new girder bridge crossing over the Bira River in Birobidzhan.
The development of the Birobidzhan heat supply system was discussed. It is planned to build three gas boiler houses and nine block-modular gas boiler houses, switch consumers of 12 coal boiler houses to the Birobidzhan CHPP, and modernize 140 km of networks.
Another project is the reconstruction of a multifunctional sports and recreation complex in the regional center. It is planned to create a fundamentally new sports facility, which will include adult and children's pools, a universal games room, a room for group training, and a gym.
