The annual All-Russian Conference "Demographic Development of the Far East" will be held in Ulan-Ude on June 26-28, 2025. The organizers of the event, which will be held for the 10th time in 2025, are the Ministry of the Russian Federation for the Development of the Far East and Arctic, the Far East and Arctic Development Corporation (FEDC), the Government of the Republic of Buryatia, and the Ministry of Health of the Russian Federation. The main topics of the Demographic Conference 2025 will be issues of preserving the health of citizens and increasing life expectancy. During the conference, heads of federal and regional authorities, development institutions, experts, scientists and public figures will discuss current issues of demography in the Far East. Deputy Minister of the Russian Federation for the Development of the Far East and the Arctic Elvira Nurgalieva reported that efforts on the development of demography is of particular importance for the Far Eastern Federal District; among the social projects and demographic programs implemented in the region, many have been developed specifically for the Far Eastern Federal District. “At the conference in Ulan-Ude, participants will compare notes on the effectiveness of projects to preserve people’s health, increase the birth rate, life expectancy, and programs aimed at increasing the period of active longevity of Far Easterners,” noted Elvira Nurgalieva.
