The conference "Demographic Development of the Far East" will be held in Kamchatka

From June 15 to 17, 2026, the 11th All-Russian Conference "Demographic Development of the Far East" will be held in Petropavlovsk-Kamchatsky. The event will bring together representatives of federal and regional government bodies, the scientific community, development institutions, public organizations, and experts to discuss practical solutions in demographic policy. The central theme of the Demographic Conference will be the implementation of the Far East Demographic Policy Strategy for the Period up to 2030 and for the Future until 2036, approved by the Government of the Russian Federation.

The event is organized by the Ministry of the Russian Federation for the Development of the Far East and Arctic, the Ministry of Labor and Social Protection of the Russian Federation, the Ministry of Health of the Russian Federation, the Government of Kamchatka Krai, and the Far East and Arctic Development Corporation.

The conference will be a key federal platform for discussing regional action plans to achieve the targets of the new demographic strategy, as well as mechanisms for increasing the birth rate, reducing mortality, promoting health care, and improving quality of life.
