Universities in the Far East presented promotion strategies and new tools for attracting applicants at a regional meeting in Khabarovsk

A seminar entitled "Promoting Far Eastern Universities: How to Build a Strong Brand and Attract Applicants" was held in Khabarovsk as part of a regional meeting on education development in the Far Eastern Federal District. The event, hosted by Pacific State University (PSU), brought together representatives of federal and regional government agencies, development institutions, university administrators, and the expert community.

The seminar focused on developing effective communication strategies for universities in the Far East in anticipation of the 2026-2027 admissions campaign, strategic marketing, promoting educational opportunities through federal resources, and developing education exports.

Opening the seminar, Gasan Gasanbalaev, Deputy General Director for Social Development at the Far East and Arctic Development Corporation (FEDC), outlined the priorities for systematic work to promote Far Eastern education.

"Competition for applicants is intensifying today, and it's crucial for the Far East not just to participate in this competition, but to develop its own agenda and a strong, recognizable educational brand. This requires a comprehensive approach—from the quality of educational programs and infrastructure to well-established communication with target audiences. Our goal is to align the efforts of universities, regions, and federal development institutions to ensure a steady influx of applicants and unlock the macroregion's potential as a territory of educational and self-fulfilling opportunities," emphasized Gasan Gasanbalaev.
